What an amazing weekend! The Mercy Baltimore Women’s Classic 5K (second oldest women-only race in the country!) took place on Sunday, and Lily Trotters was there to represent! First, we geared up for race day by joining Charm City Run on Saturday for packet pick-up at their Timonium location and making sure participants had fresh and fun compression socks for the challenge. Then, we were there bright and early under one of the vendor tents to educate women of all athletic backgrounds about the benefits of compression--and to show off our style! Two of our awesome ambassadors--Lauren and Karen--also showed major pizazz at the finish line, making 2nd and 3rd in their age groups. Woot-woot! We’ll see you all at the 44th BWC next year!
Can you say “team spirit”? That’s how we feel after this week at Fleet Feet’s Let’s Go Show in Minneapolis!! We are so grateful to have been included by Fleet Feet. Not only did we get to spend the week with their corporate and nationwide team of stores, but we’re thrilled to now be on their shelves nationwide!
We also got to spend quality time with some other incredible brands carried at Fleet Feet, like GOODR, Momentum Jewelry and Handful, who we joined for an outing to a Twins game. So, thanks again to Fleet Feet for inviting us and creating opportunities for new and exciting partnerships.
Want to know if our line is carried in a Fleet Feet near you? Visit Lily Trotters store finder to find out, and if we aren’t, let them know you'd like to see us there. Wink.
CCR has reached some very happy anniversaries! Lily Trotters was there to help celebrate Charm City Bel-Air's 13th birthday and support the awesome women of Charm City Timonium who were training for their next 5K. What's better than time spent with treats, great deals, and energized people? Then, Charm City Timonium blew out their 16 candles!! We're so excited that this local store has flourished and expanded and remains so dedicated to its community. What's more, so many people are discovering that the benefits of compression extend beyond workout...one woman came to the store specifically for compression to wear during her pregnancy! We are so grateful to Charm City for hosting and can't wait to mark the next milestone with them!
Lily Trotters Elite Ambassador, Jackie Merritt, was recently interviewed on the popular running podcast I'll Have Another with Lindsey Hein.
In this episode, Jackie talks about her evolution as a trailrunner and her goals for the upcoming Western States 100 where she'll be returning as a 2017 top ten female finisher. Jackie also discusses her interest in biomechanics and neuroscience, how she manages the demands of training and her career, and why it's important to be passionate about things outside of running.
Yesterday, Lily Trotters team member Shellie Tucker represented Team Lily at an event at Camp Parks Reserve Forces Training Area in Dublin, CA. There were more than 20 vendors at the event to provided health guidance for U.S. reserve training forces. More than 150 people attended! Shellie shared the health and wellness tips/benefits to wearing compression socks, and raffled off a pair of Lily Trotters to four lucky soldiers (both men and women). We were so happy to attend an event benefitting our armed forces because we are so thankful for everything they do!
This past weekend, Lily Trotters Elite Ambassador Maria Dalzot ran her second Chuckanut 50K, finishing 6th among a field of incredible women runners. The race includes a 5,000 fit climb through the middle 30K. Maria conquered this climb and held onto her spot in the top ten finishers, finding inspiration and some fun competition with the other women around her. Congratulations on a great race, Maria!
