Lily Trotters Launch on Kickstarter

It seems serendipitous that our Lily Trotters compression socks are finally taking flight on Kickstarter.com – right now, at the very same time the water lilies and lotuses are blooming in Washington, DC. That’s because in nature, lily trotters are birds with huge feet that enable them to walk on lily pads, where water lilies and lotus flowers bloom. For the next 30 days, we’ll be selling Lily Trotters at deeply discounted prices through our Kickstarter campaign. This crowd funding opportunity will allow us to bring Lily Trotters to market and fund our  first production run. We can’t wait to see the response from supporters like you!

So many of the inspirational quotes we've posted on social media these past few months have been about training for or finishing a race. Launching Lily Trotters on Kickstarter has been our race. We have had so many hurdles to jump and milestones to meet. To sum it up: we're psyched to get this show on the road! As founder of Lily Trotters, I want to personally thank everyone who helped us get to this moment: my truly incredible and dedicated team, my awesome sock mill in North Carolina, my always-encouraging friends, my BFF Anne who has been by my side every step of the way, my dad who is (and always has been) my #1 cheerleader, and my daughter Clare who named our company and has watched Lily Trotters hatch from an idea into the most awesome compression socks.You see, it’s true: It takes a village to raise a sock!

Last but not least, I want to thank YOU – that is, all the wonderful women who have been so excited about Lily Trotters from the get-go.
