Lily Trotters took part in Baltimore Magazine’s 2016 Excellence in Nursing, an annual event recognizing 55 of the region’s top nurses. These healthcare professionals were celebrated at a dinner at the historic Hotel Belvedere and Lily Trotters was there! To show our appreciation, founder Susan Costa-Walston and her team presented each honoree a pair of our signature socks to say “Thank you!” Nurses certainly know the benefits of compression— when we care for ourselves, we can best care for others. Cheers to these ultimate caregivers – our nurses.
What an exciting way to usher in spring with the opening of our online store. Now selling from our second production run, we are thrilled to allow more customers to discover our sassy signature socks. Dedicated to customer happiness and developing the best possible compression sock, we refined our second run based upon customer input and suggestions. Sales continue to climb as more folks around the world are discovering that compression really can deliver FASHION + FITNESS!
Overcoming challenges is nothing new to Team Lily Trotters – in fact, it’s a recurring theme in our story! Faced with long production delays, Founder and Designer Susan Costa-Walston and Social Media Marvel Rachel Haskins flew to our mill in North Carolina. For two days they stood, sorted, stuffed, sealed, and mailed each and every pair of socks to our devoted Kickstarter supporters and pre-order customers. More than 1600 pairs of Lily Trotters were shipped all around the US, Canada – and even as far as Italy and Australia! The socks arrived just in time to fill many a holiday stocking, proving once again, Lily Trotter customers come first.
For those who missed the Kickstarter Campaign, all is not lost! Lily Trotters engaged the on-line service Backerkit, which is aligned with Kickstarter, to allow new customers to pre-order their Lily Trotters at our special pre-production discount. Pre-orders will be available until late December 2015.
Numbers don’t lie. On the first day of our 30-day Kickstarter Campaign launch, we reached our goal in 6 hours, 28 minutes. It was a day of incredible emotions. Not only watching our pledges continue to climb, but also knowing we had really connected with people wanting something new in a compression sock – FASHION + FITNESS.
By our fourth day, we had exceeded our goal by 150%. When the campaign wrapped up on August 13, 2015, 503 backers had pledged $46,754.00 to pre-purchase more than 1,200 pairs of Lily Trotters! A HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO ALL!
