As I look to the new year with anticipation and excitement for where Lily Trotters is headed, it is indeed a time to reflect on all of our growth in 2018. I am so grateful to my outstanding and dedicated core team of five women helping Lily Trotters grow everyday!
Casey Szesze has recruited over 80 #unstoppable women to build our robust and active Ambassador Program - including some truly inspiring elite athletes. We are grateful to each woman for her commitment to our brand and love for our products - and to our mission to help compression go mainstream. Whether sharing their own personal accomplishments, supporting Lily Trotters at races, at tradeshows and at the events of some of our retail partners, our ambassadors representation of Lily Trotters has been impressive.
And thanks to Kim Gross and her growing team of sales reps, Lily Trotters are now for sale in over 120 retailers across the US...and growing. Stay tuned for more exciting expansion in 2019! Being selected to be one of nine finalists to even participate in Title Nine’s Pitchfest in September was such an honor. And then to have won was simply thrilling - a truly great day for Lily Trotters! We are beyond excited to be included in their upcoming Spring 2019 catalog. We can’t thank all the folks at Title Nine enough, for recognizing us and including us among such an incredible group of badass women entrepreneurs and for hosting an unforgettable and inspiring day.

It was another great showing at The Running Event in Austin, Texas this year, and an awesome reminder of how far we've come as a company!
Kim Gross, Lily Trotters Chief Strategist, represented the team once again, joined by Leigh Kimball, Southeast Territory Manager. Together they shared with buyers what makes our signature compression special and showcased our new styles and our newest product--calf sleeves! Our dotted sleeves even made it into Running Insight's special TRE edition as one of the "hottest new products" to check out at the show. Woot-woot!
Another awesome moment was having Krissy Moehl back to our booth as one of our Elite Ambassadors (she and Kim met for the first time at TRE 2017) to interview live with Lindsey Hein for "I'll Have Another with Lindsey Hein". These two incredible women chatted all things running, coaching, and community, while Lily Trotters offered some live giveaways--like signed copies of Krissy's book. Score!
Lindsey also took time with Kim to discuss all things compression as part of Hein's Holiday Gift Guide podcast--and there were plenty of gift ideas at TRE!--so we're jazzed that people recognize us for our quality and style. That's a win for everyone!
Lily Trotters was proud to lend its support to Breast Cancer Awareness during the month of October through its Power of Pink Campaign. All month long, customers could enjoy 10% off all PINK styles--and 10% of all those PINK sales went directly to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. We're just one of many businesses who contributed--through your purchase!--to the fight against breast cancer, and we continue to stand with the women battling this disease.
Last night we happily celebrated two of our youngest sock flock members--Erica Dougherty and Alexis Champion--at a reception that honored their recent work-study experience. This past summer, these high school seniors joined us at headquarters and spent some of their vacation hard at work. These ladies had a crash course in marketing, studied up on our branding, and lent their skills to our social media and sales divisions.
This awesome opportunity--for both the young women and for us!--was part of the larger Summer Internship Program offered through Roland Park Country School in Baltimore, Maryland. Twenty-nine of their students participated in the program, gaining job skills, mentorship, and real world experience across a variety of fields.
We are grateful to have been a part of something designed to be enriching and empowering to young people, and we’re thrilled to have had Erica and Alexis as part of our team. Way to go, ladies!! Can’t wait to see what you do next. :)
On September 12, 2018 at the Title Nine Headquarters in Emeryville, California - the ladies of Lily Trotters participated in the inaugural T9 Movers & Makers Pitchfest. And, we WON!
What a day. From listening to the pitches of the eight other finalists to learning from successful female CEO's - the day could not have been more rewarding. We are so motivated to continue sharing the story of Lily Trotters and the benefits of compression after hearing from other women run brands that are making waves in the outdoor retail space.
Our pitch covered everything from WHY women should wear compression socks to what makes Lily Trotters different from other compression brands. We discussed our origin story and the progress we've made in just a few years from our uber successful KickStarter campaign to now being sold in 120 retail locations with 60+ #unstoppable ambassadors representing our brand. We felt we had a really great shot at winning but so did the 8 other finalists!
So, what's next? Well, Lily Trotters will be featured in Title Nine's Spring 2019 catalog. Keep an eye out and let us know what you think! We hope this helps spread the word on all things compression and Lily Trotters.
